Community Compost Collections Sites
Have you been wanting to compost your food scraps, but don't have the space, time, money, or know-how? Our Community Compost Collections Sites are the perfect solution!
Pinecrest Location
Our first location was a public/private partnership with the Village of Pinecrest, beginning in March 2024. Thanks to the 1,500+ residents who participate in the Pinecrest Composting program, we rescue roughly 8,400 lbs of food every month from being wasted, and turn it back into rich, fertile soil!
11000 Red Rd, Pinecrest, FL 33156
Farm Entrance Location
We also have a free drop-off location in front of our farm. Lock Code is 0000
At the corner of 152 Ave and 264 Street in Homestead
🌿 Everglades Earth Cycle Program
Seven (7) more Compost HUBs are on their way thanks to our new program, the Everglades Earth Cycle: a USDA grant-funded partnership with the Village of Pinecrest, Fertile Earth, the Miccosukee Tribe, and Love the Everglades Movement.
These drop off sites will be flaunting our newly designed "Carbon Cyclers" which are:
- ✅ ADA-compliant
- ✅ Hurricane-proof
- ✅ 24/7 accessible containers
- ✅ Allow you to earn points every time you bring your food scraps
Stay tuned for our ribbon cutting date!
Volunteer Happy Hour Option
You can also bring your food scraps with you any Friday from 4-6 during our volunteer happy hour and compost yourself at our community composter in the garden.
